Twenty One Pilots have started 2016 on a high note: the duo has scored a top 10 single on Billboard’s Hot 100 with “Stressed Out.” The song skyrocketed from number 13 to number nine this week with 159,000 sold. “Stressed Out” has held the top spot on the Hot Rock chart for two weeks and is rising on Radio Songs, Streaming Songs, Alternative Songs, Pop Songs, and Adult Pop Songs.
"You can't underestimate the power of a core fan base and people who believe what you're doing. It doesn't matter what we post about ourselves on social networks or how many times we play live TV, even," Tyler Joseph says in a Billboard interview last year. "It's all about those people, those fans who are telling other people about us. I think that's what we're seeing more than anything."
Twenty One Pilots is Joseph and Josh Dun. “Stressed Out” comes from the duo’s fourth studio album Blurryface, which released through Fueled By Ramen last May. The album has sold 592,000 copies.
